Egg house: Student builds amazing dwelling.
Posted by: | CommentsImagine living in an egg? You think I am kidding. Well, a 24-year-old Chinese designer is doing just that. High rents in China’s capital have forced Daihai Fei to think out of the box and create an eco-friendly egg-shaped house. This university student did not have enough money to spend on living in a conventional home so he built his own mobile home incorporating green materials like bamboo, sawdust, grass seed and a solar panel.

The ‘Canstruction exhibition’ does just that. The competition invites dozens of teams of architects and engineers, who create extraordinary can sculptures to take away the title of Canstruction champions. Last year the Canstruction winner was a piggy-bank sculpture made from 3.024 cans of salmon and 24 cans of tuna, while this year the mosaics of Marylin Monroe and Super Mario, a can-made van and several other astounding creations are battling it out.
