This is the worlds largest Easter egg located in Vegreville, Canada. This incredible Easter egg stands over 31 feet high on its stand and is over 25 feet wide, the Easter egg itself is 18 feet high and weighs 5,000 pounds! This gigantic Easter egg or Ukranian "Pysanka," was built in 1975 to memorialize early Ukranian settlements in east of Edmonton. The English Version of the dedication message reads like this, "This Pysanka (Easter Egg) symbolizes the harmony, vitality and culture of the community and is dedicated as a tribute to the One-Hundredth Anniversary of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police who brought peace and security to the largest multi-cultural settlement in all of Canada."
